Questions… We all have them. Sometimes we ask them. Sometimes we just keep them to ourselves. Perhaps we are afraid of the answer or tone that may come in the response, so we just stick to living in the realm of the unknown. As The Grove Church, we want to be a group of people who welcome your questions. Asking questions, with the proper attitude, is a healthy part of growing as a Christ-follower and collectively as a church.
This past Sunday, we tried something new called “The Green Room”, and the feedback has been really encouraging. People interacted well, asked questions, and provided great insight as to how God is moving in their lives. The Green Room is something we’ll do once each month in an effort to capture how God is moving in our church and to give people a chance to ask questions. Here’s a page on our website where you can see the responses and watch the videos related to The Green Room… https://thegroveknox.org/the-green-room-october/
We don’t expect you to have it all figured out. As a church, we are imperfect and should be learning from one another. We want to value everyone’s questions, imperfections, and strengths. By creating a church culture where people can be themselves, people can more easily find their place underneath the vision of “helping people take their next steps with Jesus.” As you ask questions, and take your next steps, our prayer is that you will in return be more equipped to listen to other people’s questions and help them take their next steps of faith with Jesus as well!
