Josh Duncan

Lead Pastor

Josh’s passion is to see people reach their potential in Jesus as they become disciples who can multiply disciples. He believes each person can make an impact for God’s Kingdom where they live, work, and play. Prior to coming to The Grove, Josh served as a youth pastor in two different churches, planted a church in Knoxville, and served as a Lead Pastor in Michigan. He also coaches church planters through the Ignite Church Planting Network. Josh is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University and Liberty Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two boys, Kaden and Kolton. Jennifer is an RN. Kaden is a sports enthusiast who plays baseball and basketball. Kolton is a marine biologist in the making and can tell you anything you want to know about ocean animals. As a family, they enjoy hiking to waterfalls, camping, and all things related to the Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves.

Trent Berry

Worship Leader

Trent is originally from Lenoir City, and currently lives in north Knoxville. Trent enjoyed playing football and racing dirt bikes before discovering his musical passion. He played trumpet, was in the drum line, and served as captain of the marching band at Lenoir City High School. He studied music at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul in St. Paul, Minnesota before deciding to pursue worship ministry. When he is not playing music, he works as sales consultant at Best By, and is a diehard University of Tennessee Volunteer and Kansas City Chiefs football fan!

Deborah Justice

Grove Kids Director

Deborah serves in our children’s ministry as our Grove Kids Director. Deborah and her husband Mark live in the Halls community and have three children, Tanner, McKenzie and Tolliver who are all currently attending University of TN. Deborah graduated from Cumberland College and taught in Special Education for five years prior to being a stay at home mom.  While at home she homeschooled her children for five years.  Prior to becoming a member of The Grove Church, Deborah served in ministry rolls as a Sunday School teacher, as a Director of Girls in Action, and Director of Children with Special Needs Ministry. She currently works part time at North Clinton Elementary school as an assistant in the Special needs classroom. Deborah enjoys being involved in the lives of her children, capturing memories with her camera, and searching for old treasures.

Donna Orr

Staff Assistant & Office Manager

Donna and her husband Dudley live in the Halls community with their three children. Their daughter Skylar is a student at UT,  daughter Rylee attends Halls Middle, and son Jackson attends Brickey McCloud Elementary. Donna enjoys spending time with her family, reading and snow skiing.
