Ugly Sweater Series Graphic

Where did 2018 go? It’s hard to believe Christmas season is here yet again. As we swing into the holiday spirit, we’re going to have a little fun as we celebrate Jesus and Christmas this December with our “Ugly Sweater Kind of Christmas” theme. At the same time, we’re going to be challenged to discover this often missed part of the Christmas story… That Jesus came to re-purpose even the ugliest parts of our lives.

The change in perspectives with ugly Christmas sweaters has been neat to watch. What used to be a less than desirable gift to receive at Christmas has now been re-purposed and is something many people want to have. These sweaters tell stories and reveal many things about the people who wear them.

Buried beneath the familiar parts of the Christmas story is the true story of how ugliness finds purpose. We all have parts of our story that we wish were different, but the good news of Christmas is that how you started, what you’ve done, or where you are doesn’t have to be how you continue. Jesus came to redeem the ugliness and renew our identity, so join us each Sunday as we seek to take our next steps of faith with Jesus!

December 2nd… We’re kicking off this new teaching series!

December 9th… Nothing is more exciting than celebrating baptisms, so come ready to celebrate!

December 16th… Ugly Sweater Sunday (Wear your ugly sweater) and Grove Kids will be singing during the service.

December 23rd… Our annual Christmas Eve Eve service… We’ll have two opportunities for you to celebrate with us 10:30am and 6:30pm. Click HERE for all the details about this service.

December 30th… No service this Sunday, so enjoy this day as a time for rest or maybe even connecting with other people and inviting them to your house. We will however, have a short Facebook Live presentation, so be sure to tune in at 10:30 on Facebook!

My Sacrifice Christmas Offering

Just like last year, we are challenging you to dig deep and give sacrificially (above what you normally give) toward our Christmas offering. Half of this offering will be used to help us finish 2018 strong and start 2019 well as we welcome new staff members to our leadership team.

The other half of this offering will leave our church and be split among three different ministry partners that we have been and will be partnering with in 2019. Last year, as a church, you gave about $6000 toward our sacrificial Christmas offering. We’ll take up this offering on Sunday, December 16th and December 23rd, so let’s begin praying and asking God how we can give BIG for His glory!

You can find out more about this offering by going HERE.
