Connect With The Grove This Easter
Sunday, April 21st at 9:30 and 11:00am
With so many churches in our community, you might be wondering why you should visit The Grove on Easter Sunday? Here are three reasons…
1- You can truly come as you are
We mean it. There’s no expectation that you dress a certain way whether that be formal or casual, nice shoes or flip-flops, Easter Sunday clothes or your PJ’s. Most people who connect with The Grove dress casual, but honestly, we just want you to be you. This isn’t just something we say to get you in the door of our building. We believe you’ll see that it’s part of our church culture. So for Easter Sunday, you can save your money avoid buying that new outfit or dress out of some religious sense of guilt. On the other hand, if that’s your thing you like to do, then go for it and come join us!
We also believe this means spiritually come as you are as well. If it’s been years since you’ve even prayed or if you consider yourself a passionate follower of Jesus, we just want to come alongside you in your faith journey. Your questions don’t intimidate us, and we’d love to help you explore answers and next steps as you are ready!
2- We aren’t putting on a performance
Easter Sunday will be like any other Sunday for The Grove… A celebration of Jesus… Yes, we will specifically be celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. Yes, there will be a little more excitement around our building, but we believe that’s a spiritual thing God does as we celebrate the victory of Jesus over death and sin. You will find larger, louder, and more extravagant Easter presentations than what we will do, but if you are looking for a celebration that’s authentic and uplifting using a modern style of music and real-to-life teaching, then we’d love to have you join us!
3- We’ll talk to you honestly
We literally believe Jesus lived, died, and resurrected. We will talk about this, but if you aren’t fully yet convinced of this or even for sure if it matters to you today, then that’s OK. Our prayer is that we can help you gain a clearer vision for what the resurrection means to you, a person living in Knoxville, TN in the year 2019 about 2,000 years after the miraculous event. We won’t offer you some simple, religious, do this one thing to make everything better, kind of stuff. No gimmicks, no tricks, no bait and switch. Life is real, which means it can get really messy and even hard at times, so we are willing to have real conversation about what it means to have real relationships with God and people as you live, work, and play!
