God is always faithful to give us direction if we will patiently seek out His plans. Back in June, I shared on this blog that God was leading Sandra Hall, The Grove’s Administrative Assistant, to pursue a new job opportunity. You can read about that HERE. I knew God had great things in store for both Sandra and for us as a church, but we’d have to trust him to lead us through the transition. My prayer was that we could fill the position from within our church so we could have another person on staff that knew the people of The Grove, the Halls community, and could share in the excitement about this next season of ministry for our church.
God revealed this person to us, and over the last few weeks, Donna Orr has been settling into her role as our new Administrative Assistant and Office Manager. Her and her family have been connected with The Grove for a few years, and they’ve been active in serving within the church in various ways. As a former nurse, Donna brings plenty of experience in the areas of organizing, administrating, and multitasking. She is a great addition to our team, and I’m really excited about the important role she will play as God continues to grow our church.
Many people don’t realize all the behind the scenes tasks required to keep a church organized from week to week, so just know that if God brings Donna to your mind, then He’s doing that for a reason. Be sure to encourage her and show your appreciation for what she is doing and will do in the days ahead.
Here’s a short bio about Donna…
Donna and her husband Dudley live in the Halls community with their three children. Their daughter Skylar is a student at UT, daughter Rylee attends Halls Middle, and son Jackson attends Brickey McCloud Elementary. Donna enjoys spending time with her family, reading and snow skiing.
